Need inspiration?

Telenor Objects is about innovation with a capital "I". What we present here is the result of years of experience in service development for M2M applications. It is time you join in! Not quite sure how? OK – lets show you the ropes…

Innovating on Shepherd®

Shepherd® is not a "sandbox" or a "play ground" or anything really where you can get lost in mindless games. We would rather that you see Shepherd® as an arena for down to earth innovation in M2M; a place where you can create solutions that you may previously have thought unmanageable. You provide the nuts and bolts - we have the tools.

To illustrate how this is possible, we have set up three possible entry points - or key holes if you will - to innovating on Shepherd®: depending on whether your competence is in application development, hardware or device engineering or system integration. Viewing Shepherd from either of these angles you will find great benefits when creating complete market solutions.

Take a look at what we did with an electric motor bike

video

Getting an electric motor bike on-line with sensors and GPS is not as complicated as it sounds. That is - if you work with people who know what they are doing! In this case we had the pleasure of working with Robert Engels in ESIS Norge and students from UNIK.
And the result? A solution for monitoring a bike on the road!

So, what do you need to get cracking?

•    An idea that you strongly believe in and want to realize
•    Some knowledge in software development, system integration or hardware engineering
•    An innovation agreement that regulates use of Shepherd® (no strings attached)
•    A device (a mobile phone should do it at first) or two?

So far, so good? OK - now take a look at our documentation.

Are you ready to "herd" some objects?
